Privacy Policy
DragCodex (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a fan companion app for Drag Race franchises. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using DragCodex, you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
DragCodex is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by World of Wonder, RuPaul’s Drag Race, or related official partners.

2. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and authentication credentials (handled by our auth provider).
- Optional profile details you choose to save in the app (for example display preferences).
App activity
- Favorites (e.g. queens you mark as favorite).
- Rate a Queen votes and related ranking preferences.
- In-app settings such as language/locale and notification toggles.
Technical data
- Basic device and app information needed to run the service (for example platform, app version, and security/session tokens).
- Logs related to authentication errors or abuse prevention.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the current app build.
3. How we use information
- Create and secure your account.
- Sync favorites, votes, and settings across your sessions.
- Operate Rate a Queen, rankings, and personalized features.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we process data based on: performance of a contract (providing the app), legitimate interests (security and product improvement), consent (where required, such as certain notifications), and legal obligations.
5. Service providers
We use trusted processors to run DragCodex, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and backend APIs.
- Image / media CDNs — to display queen and season artwork (for example TMDB or similar hosted images already referenced by our catalog).
- YouTube — if you open an official lip-sync video link from the app.
These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services to us and under their own privacy terms.
6. Data retention
We keep account and app activity data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward if needed for security, backups, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account data as described below.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Export a copy of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
Email privacy@dragcodex.app and we will respond within a reasonable time. You may also sign out or stop using the app at any time.
8. Children
DragCodex is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to our size and risk profile (including encrypted transport and access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
