Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the DragCodex mobile and web application (“App”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Independent fan project
DragCodex is an unofficial fan companion for Drag Race franchises. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by World of Wonder Productions, RuPaul’s Drag Race, MTV, Paramount, or any related rights holders. All trademarks, show names, logos, and likenesses belong to their respective owners and are used here for informational / fan reference purposes only.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country) to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or create risk for other users or the service.
4. The service
DragCodex may include:
- Catalog information about franchises, seasons, episodes, queens, and related stats.
- Features such as favorites, Rate a Queen voting, rankings, Hall of Fame, and lip-sync archives.
- Links to third-party content (for example official YouTube videos).
Catalog data is provided for entertainment and fan reference. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that every placement, challenge label, or statistic is complete or error-free. Air dates and ongoing seasons may change.
5. User conduct
You agree not to:
- Abuse, harass, or harm other users.
- Attempt to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App or its APIs beyond ordinary personal use.
- Manipulate votes, rankings, or other community features through bots or fake accounts.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or deceptive content.
- Use the App for commercial exploitation of third-party trademarks without permission.
6. Votes, favorites, and community features
Votes and favorites reflect your personal opinions. Public aggregates (for example community rankings) may be shown in the App. We may remove or reset abusive or fraudulent activity.
7. Intellectual property
The DragCodex name, app design, original code, and original editorial presentation are owned by us or our licensors. Third-party trademarks and media remain owned by their respective rights holders. You may not copy or redistribute the App except as allowed by applicable law.
8. Third-party services
The App relies on third-party services (including authentication/database providers and external video or image hosts). Your use of those services may be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party sites or content you open from the App.
9. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DRAGCODEX AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.
12. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version at this URL. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise.
